
Olukoyede expressed this sentiment in his Eid-el-Fitr goodwill message to Muslims across the nation, delivered in Abuja on Sunday.

Olukoyede emphasized that the collective determination and unwavering commitment of Nigerians are the essential tools needed to eradicate corruption. He posited that the power to overcome this societal ill lies within the people themselves.
“Tackling economic and financial crimes and other acts of corruption is achievable through courageous readiness and corporate commitments of Nigerians,” Olukoyede stated, highlighting the necessity of a unified front against corruption.
Reaffirming his belief in the nation’s capacity to triumph over corruption, he declared, “Nigerians are stronger than corruption. No corrupt act can break our common resolve and determination. We have all it takes to confront and conquer economic and financial crimes.”
He urged Muslims to internalize the profound lessons of Ramadan, including self-denial, discipline, sacrifice, love, and purity. He encouraged them to apply these virtues to their daily lives, fostering a renewed dedication to rejecting corrupt practices.
“I congratulate Muslims and charge them to allow lessons of self-denial, discipline, sacrifice, love and purity of the Ramadan season imbued in them greater readiness and commitment to shun corrupt practices,” he reiterated.
Olukoyede further elaborated on the significance of Eid-el-Fitr, stating, “At Eid-el-Fitr, Allah’s benevolence and sacrifice are greatly magnified. May the lessons of love, peace, joy, and celebration of the festival abide in us and imbue in us a greater desire to reject corruption.”
He provided assurance to Nigerians that the anti-corruption campaign remains steadfast and progressive. Olukoyede affirmed that the EFCC is steadily gaining momentum in its mission to curtail economic and financial crimes.
“The anti-corruption war is on course, maintaining that the EFCC is gaining more strength and speed in bringing economic and financial crimes to a halt,” he concluded, underscoring the commission’s dedication to its mandate.
