The Southern Nigeria Youth Congress (SNYC), Delta State Chapter, has expressed its outrage regarding the brutal assault on Ms. Edema Elohor Jennifer, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member from Delta State (NYSC No. AN/24C/0626), by the vigilante group, Operation Udo Ga-Achi, in Anambra State.
In a statement issued by Comrade Wiska Monday, the State Chairman of the SNYC, Delta State Chapter, he conveyed his disgust over the incident and demanded immediate justice for the victim. “We condemn in the strongest possible terms the brutal assault and humiliation of Ms. Edema Elohor Jennifer by Operation Udo Ga-Achi. The Anambra State Government must take swift action to ensure that the members of this vigilante group are brought to justice and held fully accountable for their actions.”

Comrade Wiska Monday also called on the Director-General of the NYSC to suspend all corps member postings to Anambra State until justice is served and the state can be confirmed as safe for corps members. “It is entirely unacceptable that NYSC members, who serve their country with unwavering dedication and commitment, are subjected to such deplorable treatment.”
“We further demand that the Anambra State Government provide fair and adequate compensation to Ms. Jennifer for the severe trauma and injustice she has endured.”
