President Bola Tinubu has overhauled the leadership of the Nigerian Armed Forces, appointing new Service Chiefs to strengthen national security.
The changes, announced on Friday, October 24, 2025, by Special Adviser Sunday Dare, include General Olufemi Oluyede taking over from General Christopher Musa as the new Chief of Defence Staff.
appointments :are Major-General W. Shaibu (Chief of Army Staff), Air Vice Marshall S.K Aneke (Chief of Air Staff), and Rear Admiral I. Abbas (Chief of Naval Staff). Major-General E.A.P Undiendeye remains as the Chief of Defence Intelligence.
President Tinubu thanked the outgoing chiefs for their dedication and charged the new leaders to uphold the forces’ professionalism and vigilance.
