Acting on credible intelligence gathered through their investigative networks, the anti-kidnapping unit successfully intercepted a commercial Volkswagen Sharan vehicle at the bustling Kawo Central Motor Park located in Kaduna.
Upon conducting a meticulous and thorough search of the intercepted vehicle, the police officers made a startling and concerning discovery. Concealed ingeniously within the vehicle were a total of twenty-one fabricated AK-47 rifles. Police Neutralize Armed Robbers During Foiled Robbery Attempt
In yet another demonstration of their swift response and unwavering commitment to public safety, the Kaduna State Police Command successfully neutralized a gang of armed robbers who had launched an attack on Doggi Farm, situated along the critical Kaduna-Abuja Expressway. The incident unfolded in the early hours of Tuesday, April 9, 2025, at approximately 0500 hours, when the Police Command received an urgent distress call from a concerned citizen reporting an armed robbery in progress at the aforementioned farm.
Upon receiving this critical information, the Divisional Police Officer of the Tafa Division immediately mobilized a patrol team and swiftly deployed them to the scene of the reported crime. Upon their arrival at Doggi Farm, the police officers encountered a large and heavily armed gang, estimated to comprise around thirty individuals, who had already invaded the premises with the intent to commit robbery.
The arrival of the police patrol team was met with resistance, leading to a fierce and intense exchange of gunfire between the officers and the armed robbers. During this confrontation, the superior tactical skills and bravery of the police officers resulted in the neutralization of two of the armed robbers at the scene. Additionally, two other suspects sustained injuries during the gun battle and were subsequently apprehended by the police.
These injured suspects were promptly transported to the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Memorial Hospital located in Sabon Wuse for urgent medical treatment. Tragically, one of the injured suspects later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. However, the other injured suspect remains alive and is currently in police custody, actively assisting with the ongoing investigation into the robbery attempt. Furthermore, the police statement indicated that one additional fleeing member of the robbery gang was successfully apprehended and is also providing crucial information to aid the ongoing investigation aimed at bringing all perpetrators to justice.
