
The Delta State Government has invited tenders from suitably qualified companies for the execution of major infrastructure and health-related projects across the state, in a fresh move to deepen development and improve service delivery.

The call for bids, issued by the Delta State Tenders Board Secretariat under the Office of the Deputy Governor, covers a wide range of projects spread across key ministries and development agencies. These include highways, urban and rural roads, riverine infrastructure, flood control works, and medical equipment procurement.
In the highways and urban roads sector, the Ministry of Works will undertake critical projects such as the construction of Okowa Crescent in Ughelli North Local Government Area, and the reconstruction and asphalt overlay of the Emu-Obodeti-Abbi-Abraka Road, stretching through Ndokwa West and Ethiope East local government areas. Other road projects include the construction of access routes to the Model Technical College in Obiaruku and a major flood control intervention from Orikeze Avenue Junction through Oduh, Enumah and Uromi Roads to the Orogodo River in Ika South.
The Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency is also seeking to complete the Olikili Layout Roads in Asaba, comprising multiple links including Arinze Street, Ezenwael Way, Tony Bakassi Street, Trust in God Lane, and Emeka Obiokolo Street. In riverine communities, the Directorate of Riverine Infrastructure Development will oversee the construction of internal roads in Kantu, Ijaghala, and Kolokolo/Tisun across Warri South-West and Warri North. The Ministry of Works (Rural and Riverine Roads) has also listed projects in Mosogar, Oghara, Bomadi, Ituru, and Bulu-Angiaman Road in Ughelli South.
In the health sector, the Ministry of Health plans to procure and install three Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines (Siemens Magnetom Flow 1.5 Tesla) for three state hospitals — Asaba Specialist Hospital, Central Hospital Warri, and Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara.
Interested contractors are expected to provide proof of registration with the Delta State Government and the Corporate Affairs Commission, valid tax clearance certificates, and evidence of technical and financial capacity. They must also show records of previous projects successfully executed, alongside other statutory documents such as audited accounts for the last three years and payment of the prescribed non-refundable tender fees.
Tender fees vary depending on the scope of work, ranging from ₦500,000 to ₦1.7 million, with an additional ₦250,000 for participation in select projects. All tenders must be submitted in two copies, accompanied by completed Bills of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation (BEME), and enclosed in a wax-sealed envelope addressed to the Secretary, State Tenders Board, Deputy Governor’s Office, Asaba.
The deadline for submission is 12 noon on Monday, August 18, 2025, and all documents will be opened at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in the presence of bidders or their representative
Prospective bidders are encouraged to visit the project sites before submission. They are also advised that the Tenders Board is not obliged to accept the lowest or any bid
